Useful reports without another shadow ledger

Give teams flexible screens and reports while keeping quantities, permissions and closed periods governed.

GOVERNED DATA · FLEXIBLE REPORTS

Start with the measurement basis

A polished report can still compare incompatible quantities. Observed and corrected volumes, mass and energy, and rates and accumulated quantities need explicit units and periods. Preserve original readings alongside normalized values.

Unit conversion does not replace a petroleum measurement correction. Approved methods, inputs and versions belong with corrected quantities. API’s standards catalog is a method-selection reference, not evidence that an implementation is certified.

Inherit the controls

A new screen or dashboard should use registered assets and the platform’s access rules. Reports on closed periods should identify the run version, so a later adjustment does not silently alter an earlier statement.

The important test is whether a chart uses the intended quantity, applies the correct period and stays within the viewer’s data boundary—not simply whether a user can drag it onto a canvas.

Prove one reporting task

Reproduce a recurring morning report or partner extract from governed data. Compare preparation effort, then review totals, units, version references, permissions and delivery ownership before scheduling it.

HCF360’s no-code positioning creates value when teams can maintain useful views without bespoke changes. Establish a repeatable reporting workflow rather than another spreadsheet whose formulas become a competing system of record.

The value to establish

A shorter reporting backlog with fewer competing versions of the production record.
